As a HushLink creator with a connected Stripe account, you manage your own payment processing and bear responsibility for financial disputes.
Platform Structure:
How Payments Work:
• You have your own Stripe Connect account
• Payments go directly to YOUR Stripe account
• You have full access to YOUR Stripe dashboard
• HushLink facilitates the connection only
• You control refunds, disputes, and customer service
Your Financial Responsibilities:
Chargebacks:
• Customers may dispute charges with their bank
• YOU are responsible for responding to chargebacks
• YOU provide evidence through your Stripe dashboard
• Chargeback fees are charged to YOUR account
• HushLink is NOT involved in chargeback disputes
• Stripe handles the dispute process on your behalf
Fraudulent Transactions:
• YOU are responsible for monitoring suspicious activity
• Review transactions in your Stripe dashboard regularly
• Enable Stripe's fraud prevention tools
• Block suspicious payments if needed
• Report fraud to Stripe support
• Financial losses from fraud are YOUR responsibility
Refunds:
• YOU decide your refund policy
• YOU process refunds through YOUR Stripe dashboard
• Refunds come from YOUR account balance
• Stripe fees are typically not refunded
• HushLink does NOT process refunds for you
• Maintain good customer service to minimize refund requests
Payment Disputes:
• Handle all customer payment inquiries directly
• Respond promptly to dispute notifications in Stripe
• Provide clear evidence and documentation
• Keep communication records with customers
• Follow Stripe's dispute resolution process
